Smell

(a piece of soap)

It feels like the bathroom in an unfamiliar house. Folded towels, soft – like reality dripping. Like ironed white bedsheets tucked in at the corners. Something luxurious, silky clean, cool summer shadow. And I wonder if people really use this place.

Touch

(a crystal-like stone)

The hesitant surface of altered stone, gathered into a point at one end, the other end flattening, widening. Pulling the fingers together. More space in the middle; impossible to reach. The edge of an end and beginning.
